I’m fairly new to Hub Pages and, I guess it’s time to extend my profile somewhat; which is difficult.  People who talk about themselves for any length of time tend to bore me; so I don’t have a great deal of experience expanding on who I am.

I remember when I was six years old, I made a promise to myself to try and do everything there was to do in life, just once; no matter how small.  I spent the first part of my life doing just that. I used to travel a great deal and somehow, while I wasn’t paying attention, I grew roots. I’ve been unable to sever my ties for about ten years now and I’m beginning to wonder if this will be my home.  It isn’t such an unpleasant prospect.  My son enjoys this community and I am now married to a great guy; but I do miss the days of moving from place to place and discovering the secrets that made each locale unique.

I’ve owned several businesses throughout the years; a restaurant, a traveling ‘glamour’ photography studio and a construction company.  I made a decent living, but never saw them as anything more than a way station in the discovery of life.

I love to learn new things and consider myself a jack of all trades.  I’ve never mastered anything simply because I lack the attention span to stay at one thing longer than it takes to become proficient. There are always a thousand things tugging at me to stop and look; to understand how they work.

Enough about me.  I look forward to reading more of the Hubs and finding out more about the community here at Hub Pages.
